Ah, my love for writing. This post was going on for 1000 words.
And as I finished, I felt better.
So no more need to post it.
Thank you, that is all :)

How to piss me off
Ever wanted to piss me off?
Let me tell you how :
Let me tell you how :
- Ask me if all metal bands worship the devil.
- Ask if all bands try to copy KISS, or just most of them.
- Tell me the band they're listening to is mainstream (no matter what band it may be).
- Tell them all metal sounds the same.
- Tell me I'm a poser-metalhead, because I'm a girl.
- Insult my favorite band.
- Tell me you don't believe I listen to a certain band, because "it's too brutal".
- Tell me my spiked heels are impractical.
- Remind me that all sickly-sexy metalhead guys are already taken by skanks.
I'm already pissed off now, lol.
But be aware, if you tell me 2+ of these listed things, I'm not responsible for what happens to your face.

Metal vs. Pop
Mhmm, okay so I know you can't really compare songs from different genres to each other..
But I'm Micaela, so I will.
As you all know, there's this stupid song that topped all charts called "Baby".
I hate to admit it, but the song annoyingly stuck in my mind a few times (-_-)
I really listened to the words of the song, and it hit me : How the FUCK did such a stupid song become so popular? How the FUCK did it get awards?
I then listened to one of my favorite songs of all time.. "Don't Go" from Bring_Me_The_Horizon.
It's stunning, hauntingly beautiful. Yet... it never really became popular... :/
So I thought I'd share the lyrics to both of the songs, just to show you how screwed up people's taste in music is for liking *Baby* and not *Don't go*.
Justin Bieber : Baby
You know you love me // Yeah, little girl whatever you say
I know you care // Uhm, ja
Just shout whenever,
And I'll be there
You want my love // Oh fuck yes
You want my heart
And we would never, ever, ever be apart
Are we an item? // I'd rather kill myself
Girl quit playin'
We're just friends,
What are you sayin'? // I'm saying fuck off.
Said there's another as you look right in my eyes
My first love, broke my heart for the first time
And I was like
Baby, baby, baby ooh
Like
Baby, baby, baby noo
Like
Baby, baby, baby ohh
I thought you'd always be mine (mine)
Baby, baby, baby ohh
Like
Baby, baby, baby noo
Like
Baby, baby, baby ohh
I thought you'd always be mine (mine) // If you read the chorus it sounds like porn, right?
Oh oh For you, I would have done whatever
And I just can't believe we ain't together
But I'm losin' you
I'll buy you anything
I'll buy you any ring
Cause I'm in pieces
Baby fix me
And just shake me till you wake me from this bad dream
I'm goin down, down, down, down
And I just can't believe my first love won't be around
** Pornlike Chorus Repeats **
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
I'm sixteen and I thought that you'd be mine,
I used to tweet you and text you and call you and hit you on Facebook all the time,
But, but, but now your gone,
So far along that I can't even find you,
You know that feeling when you leave your love and it's right behind you,
Can't believe that you did me wrong,
We were on i-Chat all night long,
Listening to our favorite songs,
She was wrong I am gone,
I thought I loved her, never put no one above her,
Yeah she was my lover, but now onto another like...
** Pornlike Chorus Repeats 3 times **
So. How terrible was that? I'll rather just keep my words and opinions to myself,
because I think if Justin Bieber ever read it.. he'd weep like a little bitch.
Now, for my song :D
Bring Me The Horizon : Don't Go
I was raised in the valley, there was shadows and death.
Got out alive but with scars I can't forget.
This kid back in school, subdued and shy.
An orphan and a brother and unseen by most eyes.
I don't know what it was that made a piece of him die,
Took a boy to the forest, slaughtered him with a scythe.
Stamped on his face, an impression in the dirt.
Do you think the silence makes a good man convert? //GOOSBUMPS
We all have our horrors and our demons to fight.
But how can I win, when I'm paralyzed?
They crawl up on my bed, wrap their fingers round my throat.
Is this what I get for the choices that I made?
God forgive me, for all my sins. God forgive me, for everything.
God forgive me, for all my sins. God forgive me, God forgive me.
Don't go, I can't do this on my own.
Don't go, I can't do this on my own.
Save me from the ones that haunt me in the night.
I can't live with myself, so stay with me tonight.
Don't go.
Don't go.
If I let you in, you'd just want out.
If I tell you the truth, you'd vie for a lie.
If I spilt my guts, it would make a mess we can't clean up.
If you follow me, you will only get lost.
If you try to get closer, we'll only lose touch.
Yes you already know too much, and you're not going anywhere.
Tell me that you need me 'cause I love you so much.
Tell me that you love me 'cause I need you so much.
Tell me that you need me 'cause I love you so much.
Say you'll never leave me 'cause I need you so much.
Don't go, I can't do this on my own.
Don't go, I can't do this on my own.
Save me from the ones that haunt me in the night.
I can't live with myself, so stay with me tonight.
Don't go, I can't do this on my own.
Don't go.

N'aaawh :'(
Love it so much!! The song has a story, that kinda breaks my heart when listening to it!
Let me tell you ; the instrumental work is beautiful :3
Do yourself the favor and go listen to it :)
And, if you feel you're in the mood to torture your ears, go listen to Bieber's song as well :/

You know you're a metalhead when :
I really put some thought in it..
There's no denying that I (Micaela Willers) am a metalhead XD
Let me tell you how to tell you're a metalhead :)
There's no denying that I (Micaela Willers) am a metalhead XD
Let me tell you how to tell you're a metalhead :)
You know
you're definitely a metalhead when :
Your favorite material is leather and metal.
You think people that don't listen to metal are narrow-minded.
You think people that don't listen to metal are narrow-minded.
You don't understand why everyone is worried about going to hell.
Your can quote almost every line in Tenacious D : The Pick of Destiny.
You randomly break out in air drums/guitar in the middle of a song.
You die a little when you realize your favorite band isn't touring in your area.
You meet someone new ; you immediately ask what type of music they like ; if the answer isn't metal, you're let down.
You know the meaning behind the devil horns \m/
Headbanging is your stress-medicine.
Someone almost knocked out your tooth in the mosh pit, but that doesn't stop you from attending shows.
You accidentally injure yourself while headbanging.

You accidentally injure yourself while headbanging.
You turn up the song during solos.
The only thing that actually offends you is someone insulting your favorite band/s.
You want to kill whoever interrupted you while listening to a solo.
You’ll do ANYTHING for concert tickets.
You haven’t listened to the radio in eight years.
You go clubbing and wish to replace the dance music with metal.
You shout out the chorus to Manowar’s Die For Metal.
You imitate great drum solos on your steering wheel.
Most of your favorite songs are made before 2001.
You tend to hate certain bands on principle.
You want to burn down hot topic.
You bash other types of metal that you don’t like for no reason.
You show the horns in every photograph of yourself.
Some of the musicians you love are dead or in their 60’s.
You want to kill everyone who thinks Black Veil Brides are Metal. They’re not even Glam Metal. They’re metalcore with shitty makeup.
You think it’s sexy when a guy/girl is headbanging as if no one’s watching.
You get frustrated that you can’t tap your fingers fast enough to keep up with the music.
You know you're a metalhead when you run a metal blog!
You wanna punch that hipster bitch wearing an Iron Maiden, Slayer, or Motorhead t-shirt.
It pisses you off when askingalexandria and the Devil wears Prada are opening for slayer and motorhead at mayhem this year.
You say Metallica whenever the teacher asks you to name a type of metal. ( Did it, got yelled at haha).
You headbang to dry your hair after you get out of the shower.
You think a song is shit if it doesn’t have a break down.
You threaten to break up with your boyfriend if he doesn’t like a band you do.
You listen to good instrumental songs to help you fall asleep.
You headbang in public with no shame.
You smell the combined aromas of leather, burning plastic, beer, weed and sweaty guys and say “man I love the smell of concert".
It makes you angry if someone refers to Cradle of Filth as Black metal.
Your children WILL inherit your music taste.
You were raised on metal.
You can spot a fellow metalhead from a mile away, and give them that nod that says ‘we understand each other.

10 Characteristics of a real Metalhead
So in my opinion,
Heavy Metal (along with the many sub genres) is more than just music..
It's a lifestyle.
I hate it when people tell me that :
"Everyone goes through a metal-loving stage, but you'll phase it out".
Something as epic and plain great thing as metal can't phase.
Once you've truly been bitten by the sharp teeth of the metal beast, you're a metalhead for life.
It's not necessarily about the outward appearances that makes people label you as a metalhead ;
it's your identity.
It's always difficult to define a metalhead,
sometimes even to myself (which is weird, because I'm a metalhead from flesh to bone) ;
So I've tried narrowing things down to 10 main characteristics of a metalhead.
The beginning journey for a headbangers usually amped by isolation or loneliness, or yeah - both.
Metal usually becomes like some sort of escapism; just like it does for me.
Us metal fans (or, well, I) don't just only embrace the music for the talent or the technical ability of the musicians, and not only for the orgasmic excitement it brings,
but also because of the sentiment that you can escape the dull, the stress of life..
and just get lost in the music itself.
(Come on - don't pretend you've never airguitared imagined yourself rocking out in front of hoards of screaming fans.. pfft)
Give it up - at one stage or another you've felt like an outcast for listening to metal. Whether it was because you're the only kid in class listening to it,
or maybe your girlfriend nor her friends like it,
or just plain because people look at you awkwardly when you're headbanging down the street with your earphones in.
You kinda feel strange and different; but I've come to notice that Metal kinda comforts that unusual feeling - or am I just really weird?
There comes a point in the life of every metal fan where their paths cross with other metalheads;
and this is where that weird, strange outcast feeling disintegrates.
Like at Ramfest. Usually when out with a couple of friends you feel awkward in public when a random
almost metal song plays and you're the only one enjoying it - because let's face it, clubs don't exactly cater for our music-tastes.
BUT!!! (and i get goosebumps thinking of this) at a metalfest like RAMfest... Everyone gathers around and everyone enjoys the music and everyone's happy,
and everyone likes everyone because everyone loves metal. Like a weird, Barney episode.. everyone hugs each other and tells each other how fucking awesome they are.
You can't really say it's a uniform or set of rules to follow, but the way a person dresses identifies them as a headbanger.
There have been trends over the years but in the end it all will still come down to
Band-tees and base color : black.
It doesn't really matter what a metalhead wears, though, because what gives a normal person away to be a metalhead.. is the body language.
And let me tell you - there's nothing in this world i find more sexy on a person than that metalhead-vibe they give off.
It's the subtle but clear way they walk,
the way they can't help but bang their head when a rock song's playing..
and ofcourse, a guy that wears 3 or 4 manly wristbands or bangles... ahhhh my God, yes please.
Kind of a complex thing. A fan of -let's say- Iron_Maiden may not be a fan of Deep_purple; but they respect Deep Purple for being an inspiration to Iron Maiden.
Metalheads truly have an inspiring understanding that if it was not for all the old-school bands that are according to some "out-of-fashion" and even (shockingly) "lame"
metal wouldn't be where it is today.
There's a hearty respect for all metal-bands that played a role in shaping metal to what it's like today.
Metal has been criticised many times for Blasphemy or anti-religion, but this stance has proven to be a catalyst for headbangers being well-versed and competent
in understanding numerous aspects of religion, faith and belief.
Whether a metalhead is an atheist, Christian, Satanist or whatever, you will find that metal fans are extremely well educated on their Religion;
as well as well educated on other beliefs as well.
So! About the whole : "OMG metal-lovers are the Devil's children!" rubbish going around - Chill the fuck out.
Truth be told, even PopMusic can be satanic if they really had the brain to actually have lyrics that make sense.
There are many metalbands that are well known, that are Christian bands, like :
- Flyleaf
- Underoath
- Bless The Fall
One common aspect between metalheads is that they often have a strong feeling of determination to reach for the skies and make their statement clear.
Also, their was this extremely narrow-minded misconception that headbangers aren't academic, nor accomplished whatsoever. What bullshit is that?
But one thing I can promise you Right now, whether I'm speaking for others, or only for myself; If you tell a metalhead that they CAN'T do something,
he/she/I will prove to you they can. Kapeish?
To the conventional and mainstream (and fucked up) society, metal music is often define by which metal bands have had the most success.
Artists such as Metallica, Guns N' Roses and Led Zeppelin are often held on high by media.
While most metal fans have some form of appreciation for the listed bands, metalheads tend to float to metal bands that aren't so commercialised.
There will always be Pantera, Slayer and KISS fans; but metalheads I've seen also support Opeth an even Dream Eater - even though they've never really had major success.
That's where metalheads are the most different from those bubblegum-pop listeners - we know what talent is, and listen to it.
Over-commercialised Pop fans only listen to what's hot and happening.
Pop gets old ; Metal is infinite.
Metalheads are loyal to the bands they support. You can't argue with me on this one, because I see it every day; I've seen it for years.
Whether a band makes international success, or stays a local unsigned band... the fans stay.
Metal fans are passionate about the bands they support, and have helped many bands continue making music today.
How do you think artists like Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, and Motorhead keep on moving forward? Think about it - they started out in the early establishing days of metal.
It's the support and dedication from their fanbase.
Local bands are brought to fame by fans sharing the shit out of the band on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace etc etc.
SO!
Do you still think us Metalheads will 'phase'?
Metal is way deeper than you think,
and metalheads are way more into music than any other genre-fans.
\m/ Rock on to every Metal-fan \m/
Heavy Metal (along with the many sub genres) is more than just music..
It's a lifestyle.
I hate it when people tell me that :
"Everyone goes through a metal-loving stage, but you'll phase it out".
Something as epic and plain great thing as metal can't phase.
Once you've truly been bitten by the sharp teeth of the metal beast, you're a metalhead for life.
It's not necessarily about the outward appearances that makes people label you as a metalhead ;
it's your identity.
It's always difficult to define a metalhead,
sometimes even to myself (which is weird, because I'm a metalhead from flesh to bone) ;
So I've tried narrowing things down to 10 main characteristics of a metalhead.
1. Metalheads have a bold disobedience and resistance
From the very first days in the days of bands like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and KISS, right through to the more contemporary and up-to-date day where there are countless bands and styles...
there is a attribute many metal fans posses : defiance.
Most of the time this defiance is misinterpreted as teenage rebellion [A.K.A a phase we will apparently outgrow]
The defiance of metalheads stands out as a strong expression of resistance : "Screw you; I'm doing this my way"
*OR* as Rage_Against_The_Machine eloquently affirmed : "Fuck you; I won't do what you tell me"
It's like a refusal to follow the mindset of this mainstream society. Almost like an in-your-face individuality plea.
(Lol.. "plea" as if we plea, we fuck things up to get our way)
2. Metalheads escape through music
(Come on - don't pretend you've never airguitared imagined yourself rocking out in front of hoards of screaming fans.. pfft)
3. Metalheads become unified by the music
Give it up - at one stage or another you've felt like an outcast for listening to metal. Whether it was because you're the only kid in class listening to it,
or maybe your girlfriend nor her friends like it,
or just plain because people look at you awkwardly when you're headbanging down the street with your earphones in.
You kinda feel strange and different; but I've come to notice that Metal kinda comforts that unusual feeling - or am I just really weird?

and everyone likes everyone because everyone loves metal. Like a weird, Barney episode.. everyone hugs each other and tells each other how fucking awesome they are.
4. Metalheads have a unique sense of style
5. Metalheads are strongly opinionated
US metalheads have very strong opinions on a wide range of subjects,
and the subject we are MOST opinionated on? Metal itself.
I don't think the debate between metalheads will ever subside,
especially those arguments of what "true metal" is.
I am so guilty here, because I've been arguing aggressively and excessively that Asking_Alexandria is not metal. Yes, their drums are insane! But no - too much computerised sound effects.
6. Metalheads respect the heritage
7. Metalheads have a great understanding of belief
Metal has been criticised many times for Blasphemy or anti-religion, but this stance has proven to be a catalyst for headbangers being well-versed and competent
in understanding numerous aspects of religion, faith and belief.
Whether a metalhead is an atheist, Christian, Satanist or whatever, you will find that metal fans are extremely well educated on their Religion;
as well as well educated on other beliefs as well.

There are many metalbands that are well known, that are Christian bands, like :
- Flyleaf
- Underoath
- Bless The Fall
8. Metalheads are determined
Kapeish?
9. Metalheads have a appreciation of the Underground
10. Metalheads are unswervingly Loyal

My New Favorite Band
This is Now Reminisce
![]() |
Martin Leipoldt (right) |
I saw them perform at Schivas Rock on Saturday the 1st of June 2013..
and let me tell you : THEY WERE AWESOME.
How I came across the band is a very special friend of mine, Martin Leipoldt (see photo) is in the band and as he was talking about the metal band he's in, and I looked it up on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/user/NowReminisceOfficial) and listened to their first original song "Drowning".
The song blew my mind and I thought to myself that the band is actually extremely good; and they are..
but when I got the chance to see them perform live... I was stunned.
"Good" , "Great" , "Amazing" and "Mind-blowing" isn't the word for it..!! Usually these local bands trying to make a break aren't so good.. But Now Reminisce is downright fantastic.
Keep an eye on them!
Great things are bound to happen with these six guys!PS : Martin, if you ever read this.. You are one TALENTED motherfucker!
The rest of you in the band as well!
Rock on,
and keep rocking my socks off

I'm just a little bit depressed, I guess
I wish i could be shadowed by you;
hovered over me like sin.
you unconsciously pinch my heart
by showing your sweet face
and reminding me constantly
that you're out of my life.
You always made my days
something brightly written,
but as soon as you walk away you crumple it with ease
as if i'm a boring, unimportant paper.
You brought me to my knees,
and on my knees I've stayed for weeks.
...until i realized i'm actually face first into the ground
trying to bury myself in the lies you left me with...
I feel like a total mess =(
There's no escape from this small town just outside of nothing.
School sometimes sucks, listening to them shag and brag, kiss an tell.
I guess my morals and ambition have fallen apart.
I guess I'm just a little bit depressed.
And Let me tell you,
I don't know how long I can take this..
hovered over me like sin.

and reminding me constantly
that you're out of my life.
